Nestled inside the historic Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center in the village of Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, Jewish Beginnings’ location and school grounds are truly one of a kind. We are within walking distance to Klode Park, a serene lakefront park with a community-built playground and a breathtaking path down to the beach.

Safety is our number one priority: Security guards are stationed around the building, and a comprehensive security system complete with key card access only ensures that our children are safe and secure at all times.

Our bright, cozy classrooms are thoughtfully arranged by teachers to inform children’s play and provoke exploration. In line with our Reggio philosophy, we believe that the classroom is the third teacher, creating environments that allow for easy exploration of the childrens’ interests. Every classroom is well-outfitted with state-of-the-art preschool furnishings, with natural materials used when possible.

Children are given the opportunity to play outdoors every day (weather-permitting) on our spacious, ergonomically-designed playground, which is attached directly to the building. Our outdoor area is complete with a vegetable and herb garden, where our gardener works alongside the children, guiding them through the process of planting, growing, harvesting, and enjoying the produce. Inside the building, our gymnasium is located on the second level for easy access to an indoor play space and gym class.

Our fully stocked kitchen gives our chef the opportunity to cook fresh nutritious meals and snacks for our students. Step into the school on a Friday morning and you’ll be overcome by the irresistible smell of homemade challah wafting through the hallways!
