At Jewish Beginnings, mealtime is so much more than a checklist on our daily schedule. It is a time to come together as a classroom from an early age, much like family mealtime at home. Each meal complies with state CACFP standards for balanced meals, ensuring a variety of vegetables and fruit and plenty of whole grains. Food is seasonal, with an abundance of colorful produce. Children are encouraged to try a variety of food, and the group setting motivates them to try new foods that they see their peers enjoying. Exposing children to a variety of tastes and textures at an early age teaches invaluable healthy eating habits that will stay with them for life.
